Cacao Intention Setting Ceremony

Often we set intentions at the beginning of the year, and by the end of the month they are forgotten or cast aside. What if there was a better way? Mama Cacao is here to show us her method for using the portal of death and rebirth as well as the energy of creativity and community to help us supercharge our intentions for this coming year.

Join Coach Lindsay Calliandra Rose and a group of like-minded community members to call on the magic of Cacao and participate in a ritual together on the New Year. But why Cacao? She supports focus and concentration to give us clarity and force to what we are calling in. Intentions are also magnified when we are able to really feel them deeply in our hearts and what it will feel like when we create them.

As a powerful heart opener with the ability to also inspire emotional release, she can center us deeply into feeling what we desire in our heart space where we can hold our truth in love. She is also grounding which supports bringing our intentions to the earth plane while also being expansive and connecting and communicating them to spirit. Mama Cacao is full of love and wants to empower us for our highest good, so she is a perfect ally for this process.

The Process

There are 6 phases to this ceremony:

• Once we have our opening greeting, we share some information about cacao and the process.

• We will then descend into the death portal. There we will confront what we want to let go of, what no longer serves us, what needs to die, and what we are leaving in the previous year behind us.

• Next, we will spend a moment in the space of the void, the soil of the earth, the womb, or the creative darkness as you prefer to see it. By sitting in this expanse of creative darkness, we prepare ourselves for what comes next.

• Following this will be a death ritual that actually in many ways informs us of what is actually important to us in life. This will be our stepping from death towards rebirth.

• Then we come back into life! We will call on Cacao to help us harness our creative powers. We will set our intentions in whatever creative expression feels best and most natural for you. You will be given time to write in a journal, paint, draw, dance, or whatever creative medium helps you to bring forth what wants to be birthed and created by you in the new year.

• We will then reinforce this creation by sharing with each other, giving our creations power by using our voice, and holding space for each other as we choose one action step we are dedicated to take towards our main intention.

We will end our session with gratitude for Cacao, our ceremony community, and all that has supported us in putting energy and creation behind our intentions for the year.

What You Will Need

• Cup of ceremonial cacao

• Notebook, pen, markers, paint, or whatever art supplies you feel called to work with

• A candle (for our sacred fire)

• A smudge stick, mapacho, a feather, or small broom (to clear/brush away what we release)
