I am Richard Doyle, PhD, aka m0bius, an Edwin Erle Sparks Professor in the College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State University, where I have taught since 1994. Through personal practice and sheer luck, I’ve been healed of severe asthma, nearly whole body eczema and severe depression through the grace of Ayahuasca, LSD, Psilocybin, chanting and meditation, all of which taught me, and continue to teach me, techniques for letting go of ego and abiding states which transcend the “I”, such as agape or selfless love. I have devoted myselt to sharing simple, non denominational, free, and open source tactics and guidance for achieving these states on our own, and to do so without taking myself very seriously and recognizing my comic and joyful insignificance. As literally none of his ideas are his own, an inexhaustible list of Doyle’s teachers includes Evelyn Fox Keller, Brian Rotman, Frederick Dolan, Avital Ronell, Jacques Derrida, Norma Panduro, Gary Weber, Violet Doyle, Alexandria Lockett, Ramana Maharshi, Vidur Mishra, Margery Kempe, Dhruv Dsjepaul, Spinoza (whose mad tulku he sometimes resembles), Jackson Doyle, Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Trey Conner, Cannabis, and, of course, Mamahuasca.

In 2019 I founded Metanoia Press in order to share the treasures of syncretic non dual practices for letting go of the old world, and birthing the new. Metanoia hereby focuses its attention and intention on the global shift in individual perspective that is necessary and sufficient to surviving and thriving through climate change, pandemics, economic distress, and manifest our future as the loving, space faring healing and sharing creatures we are destined to be. I’ve been the recipient of numerous awards, including grants from the National Science Foundation, the Mellon Foundation, and the Penn State Alumni Association. I’m also a member of the Lifeboat Foundation and other global conspiracies of goodness.

I am overjoyed to offer one on one and collective dialogue for integration of non dual states, the cultivation of cannabis as a plant teacher, the exploration of non duality through poetics and sound, chanting, and meditation.
