Whether you’re taking your first steps into this transformative experience or have already walked this path many times, you are warmly invited to share this unique journey with a small, supportive group of fellow plant enthusiasts. Together, we will explore, learn, and grow as we honor the gifts of the plants and each other.

Shamanic guide and Plant Medicine pioneer Kat Courtney will lead an intimate group of people across the globe in this month-long exploration of Madam Mint - a spritely, joyful, clarifying, and immensely healing ally that is full of love and lessons. Mint is extremely precious to Kat, as she helped her through the most painful medical trauma she’s been through; Kat is overjoyed to share this potent and loving spirit with all who are called.

Upon registration, we will share our favorite place to source Mint, and the process of brewing her tea, as well as the dieta initiation protocol. Although Mint is typically gentle on the body at low doses, we will work with her in subtle and strong ways to honor our personal sensitivities and intentions, and Kat will monitor each participant to find the right balance throughout the diet.

You have three varieties of Mint to choose from: Spearmint (Mentha spicata), Peppermint (Mentha piperita) or Water Mint (Mentha aquatica). The plant material is not provided but we do offer ethical places to source it upon registration. Here’s how the process will work: Beginning on or around Friday, August 14th, Kat will schedule individual dieta openings with each participant, which happens through the power of song and intention. The group will meet for 5 total Fridays via Zoom, discussing the experience and sharing insights. We will provide a protocol document outlining food instructions and specific wisdom on how to work with Mint as well, including the suggested recipe for brewing her tea, as well as creative ways to connect with her. In addition to only eating clean, organic, simple foods, we will all abstain from sexual activities, media, dark energies, and other distractions for the duration of the 3 weeks, and each Friday at 8 am PT / 11 am ET we will meet on Zoom to connect, share stories, and learn more about the gifts Mint has to offer through our vulnerable shares.

Kat will hold the diets for all participants, checking in on the connection and listening for messages each morning and night. She will be also be available throughout the process for spontaneous support as needed, because we intend to go deep with this adventure! Diets will be closed no later than September 10th, 2026. The final session on September 11th is for integration.

Mint’s Magical Properties

Mint is a trusted friend to herbalists around the world, and she’s also a tremendous Master Teacher in shamanic initiations. She is impeccable medicine for the body, mind, and spirit. Here are just a handful of her possible benefits:

Physical Properties:

  • Digestive powerhouse: Mint is antispasmodic; she relieves indigestion, & bloating, and dhe supports gallbladder/bile flow.

  • Respiratory support: Decongestant and expectorant effects (inhalation of vapor helps clear sinuses & phlegm); she is oh=so cooling and soothing to airways.

  • Analgesic (via topical application): Mild local anesthetic and cooling analgesic (topical menthol reduces minor muscle/joint pain and headaches).
